History
Molten was founded on December 5, 2009 by a team of professionals and experienced volunteers. Additional realms were opened to balancing queues of existing ones.
Neltharion open on December 5, 2009 (population cap reached 28 days after launch).
Deathwing open on January 11, 2010 (population cap reached 26 days after launch).
Sargeras open on February 18, 2010 (population cap reached 29 days after launch).
Frostwolf open on July 2, 2010 (population cap reached 22 days after launch).
Warsong open on January 18, 2011 (realm capped its population 10 minutes after launch).
Lordaeron open on July 13, 2011.
Ragnaros open on October 3, 2011.
Greymane open on February 2, 2012. (Realm decommissioned.)
Deepholm open on February 4, 2012. (Realm decommissioned.)
Core
MoltenCore is an enhanced, performance oriented version of a Trinity core and Mangos core hybrid supports 4,000 players per realm with no negative impact on stability or latency.
Seven Realms
There are currently 7 realms aimed at providing retail experience and no custom content: Neltharion, Deathwing, Sargeras, Frostwolf, Warsong, Lordaeron and Ragnaros.
Population
Seven realms host a total of up to 35,000 players at peak hours, and over 60,000 active players weekly. Current population cap is 4000/4500 (3500 for Warsong) players per realm. Molten is the largest private server community.

Molten website features include account panel, character tools, lottery, community forum, wiki, armory, donation shop and vote shop.
Facts & Records
Record Forum Activity: On February 1st, 2012 at 12:52 PM Molten Community Forum peaked with 14,338 active users.
Record Stability (single realm): On August 7, 2011 Lordaeron realm sets a new stability record reaching 9 days with a full population load!
Record Performance: On November 10, 2010 Population cap of realms was successfully raised to 3,750 players with no impact on latency.
Record Stability (all realms): On August 16, 2011 new overall stability record has been reached, realms reach up to 6 day uptime simultaneously under high population load!
